Ceremony – Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mosman

How did you meet? Mick was a bar tender at my local pub. It was love at first sight, strengthened by a few of his signature cocktails that featured at our reception.

How did you get engaged? Mick took me for a romantic weekend away to the Hunter Valley. As the sun was setting we went for a walk through the vineyard with a glass of champagne where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was truly magical!

How long did you spend planning your wedding? We were engaged for 18 months before we married. We booked Sacred Heart and Orso shortly after our engagement, however we planned our wedding intermittently over 12 months around full time work, my final year of university and moving interstate.

How would you describe your Big Day? Absolute perfection! Our day ran smoothly with no hiccups and we were able to enjoy every second without a worry. Thanks to the wonderful Orso staff for having everything organised and set up to perfection and Julie running around on the day, our guests, Mick and myself had an amazing day. I have received numerous comments from guests about how beautiful and fun the day was for everybody involved. Departing via water taxi from Orso was such a unique and special way to finish our day. It was just magical, we wish we could relive the day.

What was the highlight of your Day? Being pronounced man and wife is a moment that cannot be beaten. Taking some time away from the busy day by taking a few bride and groom only photos at Bradleys Head was a perfect way to enjoy being newlyweds and let it all sink in

Do you have any suggestions for future Brides and Grooms? Have everything organised so you don’t have anything to do on the day but enjoy. Choose your reception venue that has a great package that includes more than just food and alcohol like Orso’s. Have flowers, the cake and decorations delivered or set up prior to the date, a small delivery fee is invaluable on your big day. Make time for some alone time and budget for a good photographer and videographer. They are the only part of the day that will last forever!
