Ceremony – On Site at Orso Bayside

How did you meet? Tinder – Tony & 2 of his mates were at the Star Casino. Since Tony is the only one who’s not married they downloaded the app on his phone & tried it. On the other hand, a gay friend of mine downloaded the app on my phone.  One night I was really bored and tried “tinder” – I was shocked as it’s the complete opposite from what I thought it was. There were many indecent proposals, I was about to delete the app when Tony matched to me and sent me a very long message detailing the past 10 years of his life (& did not bring up any indecent proposals) so I thought it’d be rude if I didn’t respond to him. From then on, we spoke over the phone 24/7. It was almost 2 months later when I agreed to meet up with him & go out on a date. We became inseparable – who would have thought that we will find genuine love where you least expect to find it.

How did you get engaged?  Tony proposed on 5 Dec 2015 in front of our dishwasher after we had a dinner. He told me he was supposed to propose at the Eiffel Tower because we are heading to France on the 17th Dec but he was not able to wait any longer. Tony proposed again with my 2nd engagement ring on the 8th of May 2017 in front of our little Harry, 20 days before our actual wedding.

How would you describe your Big Day? It was beautiful and the perfect day. It was magical + the feeling was surreal. We found love in a modern way and in the last way you expect to find true love.

What was the highlight of your Day? When Tony successfully lifted Gren up and landed safely during their bridal waltz. But in general dancing.. oops! I should say partying with our closest friends & family on the dance floor led by DJ Savvy Entertainment. We were also delighted being picked up by the water taxi after our reception & dropped off to our hotel (Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour). Also, whilst on board, our professional photographer & videographers were able to take photos and video clips in the middle of the sea with the Sydney Opera House in our background and the Harbour Bridge.

Do you have any suggestions for future Brides and Grooms? Book Orso! And book the water taxi to your hotel after the wedding – it was one of the best decisions we have ever made.
