Orso is superbly positioned on the water in Sydney’s Middle Harbour, adjacent to the Spit Bridge in Mosman.
It is modern and elegantly appointed and has a spectacular marine panorama of Middle Harbour scenery, sailing boats, pleasure craft and cruisers.

Orso is an absolute waterfront venue with its own beach and deck; with a resident family of pelicans whom can be seen paddling outside at most times.

In keeping with its origins as a boatshed, guests can arrive by boat and tie up at Orso’s private pontoon, or utilise ample car parking on either side of Spit Road.


Orso was originally known as Adams Boatshed Club House in 1949 for an elite sailing club within Mosman. It was eventually turned into a successful Restaurant and Venue named Endeavour which is still very well-known with the locals to this day.

Twenty five years ago Silvio Gmur then commenced the changing of Endeavour to Orso Restaurant and traded for 17 years as a silver service fine dining restaurant. 7 years ago on 22 July 2012 the current owners were handed the keys and are now running this as an elegant waterfront restaurant and venue.

With an impressive 15 years in the industry, Amy Stagnitta brings an unparalleled blend of experience and passion to each and every event. She has been with Orso for 7 years and in that time has stood alongside over 700 couples as they said their vows. Amy prides herself on being able to provide a personalised experience to each and every client that walks through her doors and believes that the key to creating the perfect wedding is developing a personal relationship with each client.

Julie’s innate gifts of organisation, attentional to detail and planning are always carried over into every event she puts on at Orso. Combining a creative flair with her meticulous eye for detail, Julie can seamlessly execute any event. With 17 years’ experience in the industry, 7 of those being at Orso, she believes bringing every clients vision to life is not only possible but paramount. Julie believes there is nothing more rewarding than helping a couple create their perfect day and therefore puts her heart and soul into every event.

Group Executive Chef

Adam Birtles

Adam Birtles, Group Executive Chef, has enjoyed an illustrious career spanning Michelin Star restaurant in the United Kingdom, top level restaurants in Sydney and several boutiques and five-star hotels.

Born and raised in Kendal, England, Chef Birtles has more than 35 years’ experience in the kitchen.

Adam has spent the last twelve years as Executive Chef at Campbells Store Restaurants, The Rocks; Waterfront, Wolfies and Italian Village where modern Australian with a focus on fresh seafood and Mediterranean flavours are his forte.

In his career, Adam trained alongside top chefs at some of the UK’s finest restaurants and hotels including; The Fat Duck, Gabriel Restaurant, Café Ditto and the Connaught and Copthorne Tara
