Ceremony – Monte Sant’Angelo Chapel
How did you meet? Online. How else do people meet these days?
How did you get engaged? In Paris. Scott had prearranged some locks to be engraved asking me to marry him. The day before he had found a bridge along the Seine River and placed the lock. When I arrived the following day, we walked along with bridge under the guise of visiting the Eiffel Tower. Scott tried to make me read some of the locks so I could find the one asking me to marry him. However, being the sometimes impatient person that I am (or as I like to see it, organised), I was keen to rush to the Eiffel towers to beat the queues. After a bit of gentle persuasion/pleading I finally read the lock. Safe to say I felt a bit sheepish after
How long did you spend planning your Wedding? We started planning in December 2016 (roughly 8 months)
How would you describe your Big Day? Best day of our lives!
What was the highlight of your Day? There are too many to count! Scott’s highlights – saying his vowels and watching his bride walk down the Isle. Rachel’s highlights – the cake not being a total flop (and marrying the man of my dreams, of course).
Do you have any suggestions for future Brides and Grooms? I would recommend allowing 12-18 months to plan. Sometimes it’s ok to delegate tasks and try and take on too much yourself. Lastly, enjoy the day! It goes so fast, and it really is the best day of your life!
