Ceremony – Mosman Uniting Church

How long did you spend planning your wedding? About one year and two months. I did most of the planning and organising myself but it was stress free because we both know what we like and are pretty good in making decisions together quickly. For example a few weeks after our engagement, we were driving past Orso and decided to pop in thinking it was still an Italian Restaurant (Ron is Italian/American) then discovered it was a Function Centre. We both instantly fell in love with the venue and put down a deposit and booked it that day. (Fortunately we had already decided on a wedding date).

How would you describe your Big Day? Classy…Intimate….Magical! It wasn’t over the top but it was certainly memorable. From the ceremony to the reception, everyone felt the resonance of love in every moment! The church was so quaint and Orso was the perfect venue with a gorgeous ambience and a beautiful harbour backdrop. The ceremony, Orso staff service, food, drinks and music was impeccable. We also had a fantastic MC, amazing magician and even the pelicans joined in all the fun!

What was the highlight of your day? There were several highlights but the main one would be the Bride and Groom speeches. To openly share how much we love each other and to touch so many of our guests was just incredible. Many were literally crying that even the MC was astonished. Our Bride and Groom reception entrance was also definitely a highlight. The way we spontaneously danced had everyone up and cheering, phones videoing and hands clapping…setting the mood for an unforgettable night. It was spontaneous but so us!

Do you have any suggestions for future Brides + Grooms? Plan ahead and be clear on what you both want along the way. Have a theme that suits both your personalities and above all else…do not be difficult or a diva! Enjoy it all as much as you can because it’s a once in a lifetime experience.
