Ceremony – C3 Church Darlinghurst
How did you meet? The most unlikely of places – we met at the gym. I joined to get into shape to impress another guy and Dave was assigned as my trainer – needless to say I quickly forgot about the other guy.
How did you get engaged? Dave took me out to dinner and spun a little story of needing to drop by the gym on the way home to turn off some equipment. I walked in to find the whole gym set up with tealight candles, a red carpet and Dave dressed in a suit waiting for me at the end with a beautiful diamond ring – very fitting as that is where we first met.
How long did you spend planning your wedding? 6 months
How would you describe your Big Day? People said that we would have “the best day” and I knew it would be lovely however it actually was THE BEST day I’ve ever had – we both had so much fun celebrating with family and friends and wouldn’t change a thing.
What was the highlight of your Day? Wow – there were so many. I loved hearing all of the speeches at the reception and also nailing our wedding dance!
Do you have any suggestions for future Brides and Grooms? All the little things you’re worrying about in the lead up will seem so insignificant on the day – try and enjoy the planning as the day itself goes so quickly. I would also recommend asking someone to record all of your speeches even if you decide against a videographer ask them to use an iPhone or similar – on the day you’re so swept up with emotion it’s lovely to watch them back again and be able to take it all in.
