Ceremony – St Ioannis Greek Orthodox Church, Parramatta
How would you describe your Big Day? It was the biggest and best party I have ever been to. It was bright, colourful, cheerful, and full of love, laughter and tears. The room was never dull; people were smiling, laughing, dancing or crying all night. The venue was beautifully decorated and you just can’t take your eyes off the view.
What was the highlight of your day? Definitely the Greek Dancing at the end of the evening – it was just so much fun!
Do you have any suggestions for future Brides + Grooms? Don’t take it too seriously – I understand that it’s important, and girls plan their weddings from when they are little girls, but I feel like if you take it too seriously you will set yourself up for disappointment. If something goes wrong on the day (like the limo driver running 45 minutes late to pick me up) no one will ever know. Make sure you plan your day for yourself, and your husband. Although your families opinions are important, and you can’t discount what they have to say – at the end of the day it’s your decision and it’s YOUR day. I would advise not to drink too much either – even just a couple of wines will make your night go too fast! Pace yourself, take as many photos as you can with as many people as you can and if you want to do something (for example, if the bride wants to say a speech but isn’t sure) just DO IT, you will regret it if you don’t.
